JETOUR made its official debut in South Africa in September 2024, marking the beginning of a remarkable growth trajectory. Within just one year, JETOUR has surpassed renowned brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Honda, and Jaguar in sales across the country.
In celebration of its first anniversary, JETOUR introduced two all-new box-style SUVs — the JETOUR T1 and T2. These models represent the first right-hand-drive vehicles from JETOUR and were unveiled in South Africa, further demonstrating the brand’s commitment and focusing on the market.
JETOUR T1: A Music Flash Mob Bringing Trendy Vibes and Unlocking New Urban Adventure Spaces
At Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, JETOUR T1 partnered with local musicians and artists to host a unique urban music flash mob. The T1’s stylish design seamlessly blended with Cape Town’s vibrant cityscape and dynamic street culture.
As the T1’s doors slowly opened, it transformed into a mobile music stage, captivating the attention of thousands of Cape Town visitors, who were drawn into the fusion of music, art, and modern urban energy.
JETOUR T2: Conquering Off-Road Terrain and Pushing the Limits of Performance
The JETOUR T2 speaks for itself in terms of capability. To test the T2’s off-road potential and highlight its key features, Cars.co.za, a leading South African automotive media outlet, organized a thrilling dual-vehicle comparison test at a professional off-road course located on the outskirts of Cape Town.
Both the 2WD and 4WD versions of the T2 handled various challenges with ease. From puddles to cross-axle surfaces and gravel roads, the T2 shown its remarkable durability. To increase the challenge, a Hummer military vehicle joined the session midway. The T2’s off-road capabilities allowed it to successfully compete against the Hummer on certain extreme off-road paths, which could be described as a “death chase.” This was a perfect demonstration of the T2’s off-road performance and powerful engine reaction.
However, the test did not end there. Unexpectedly, Cars.co.za took one of the T2 vehicles and rolled it down the hill as part of an extreme durability test.
After rolling dozens of times, the T2’s robust body structure showed no significant deformation. The doors opened easily, and the central screen was still working. When the host activated the voice assistant, it responded promptly, with all features remaining fully functional. The on-site audiences were astounded by this remarkable performance, calling it “unbelievable.”
The test team then towed the T2 back up the hill, refueled it, and astonishingly, the vehicle could drive without any issue.
According to JETOUR, the T2 body features made with Laser-welded Structure contents of more than 80% High-Strength Steel, greatly enhancing the vehicle’s safety and structural integrity.
South Africa’s off-road market, traditionally dominated by traditional brands, is in need of a ‘new blood.’ The arrival of the JETOUR T1 and T2 provides South African consumers not only with more choices but also with an entirely new off-road driving experience.
